Meet Me At The Telly: A Weekend At The Jeremy

by Amber Janae |

Los Angeles is always a good idea. I woke up on December 29th, 2017 and randomly decided that LA needed me because to be home on New Year’s Eve just wasn’t for me this year. I backed my bags and headed to sunny So Cal. Thanks to a dear friend, I got to spend my lovely weekend nestled in the heart of West Hollywood at The Jeremy hotel.

Joined by friends, it was truly a fulfilling stay. This was the first time I stayed in a hotel in nearly 3 years. I am always the Airbnb kind of gal. If I could stay at one hotel in Los Angeles for the rest of my life it would be The Jeremy. Okay, so, where do I start?

Located right on the corner of Sunset and La Cienega, The Jeremy is an ideal location on the Sunset Strip. It’s in walking distance from Katana, a highly recommended Japanese spot we dined at our first night in town. (Katana’s sautéed green beans with garlic sauce are to die for.) It’s also an 8-minute drive from The Beverly Center, this is important for people like me.

I stopped there at least 3-4 times while I was in town. Aside from the location, the staff impressed me as well… What can I say? They were amazing people and truly accommodating. From the valet to room service staff, they were all so welcoming. I know what you’re thinking, it’s a hotel staff job to be this way, but they literally went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

We stayed in a one-bedroom suite. The room featured a full bedroom, living room with panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills and Downtown Los Angeles. Our room also featured a dining area and full bath with the most amazing bathtub.

Everything from the design to the scent of the hotel is important to me. Your stay should feel like a home away from home. The Jeremy’s choice of décor is very sophisticated yet chic and simple. I feel like a lot of the end tables could have come from West Elm, but I didn’t ask. Just an observation that I don’t know for certain.

The cost of stay per-night can get a little pricey once you move above the standard rooms to suite’s, but you only live once. If you’re going to be away from home you might as well spend the extra coin to do it right. Additional hotel amenities are a 24/7 Fitness Center access, 24-hour Mac workstations and printers in the lobby, access to Pool Deck and Lounge, Pets Welcome Amenities. If you’re considering a trip to Los Angeles anytime soon, consider my stamp of approval for the Jeremy GOLD!
